Random Updates

I was out of town for a conference last week and away from Meg for 4.5 days....and Chad. My parents kept her part of the time and she and Chad went to Tyler over the weekend to see his mom. Is it just me, or did she grow an inch while I was gone? Her hair looked longer to me and she even acted older. I guess I sometimes take for granted getting to spend every day with her. I got home Sunday and she and Chad came that afternoon. We immediately got out her new swinsuit and water table, because the weather was so nice.

We started Dance class on Monday. A friend of mine from church teaches and has been encouraging me to put Meg in her 2 year old class. She won't be 2 until June, so we will see how it goes. The first class was new for everyone, so it was a little crazy. Meg was a little "off" anyway from mommy being out of town last week. We have some re-training going on. She sure looked cute in her leotard and ballet shoes though. Looking forward to next week.

This was free play time. Most of the time I was "dancing" with her, so I couldn't take pictures.

"We are ready to get out of here."

This morning Meg got tubes in her ears. The hardest part was the PreOp appointments yesterday. She got really tired of going to different offices and being poked and prodded. Today was easy. We got there just before 7. Surgery at 8...out of surgery by 8:15. Out of recovery by 9. Home by 9:30. Thank goodness for pediatric hospitals with pediatric nurses, toys, videos and anesthesia. Hopefully we will not have ear infections and anti-biotics once a month any more.

This year.....

Last Year....

I can't believe how much Meg has changed.

Two Babies

The first and much more important of the two is my precious new niece Halle Jane Jackson. She is perfect in every way. 7lbs 14oz and 21 inches long. She was born on March 31st, but I left my camera in my parent's car, so I am just now getting to post the pictures.

The other baby is temporarily living in our backyard. We found her scared and hungry at the neighborhood park. We think someone dropped her off. She is really sweet. We named her Millie. She is definately part Lab, but her nose is pointed. She must be a mix, but I don't know of what. Feel free to offer ideas. We are currently trying to find her a home. We love her, but we can't keep a dog permenantly right now. She is still a puppy...an older puppy.

Dalmation

I was wearing this yesterday when my 21 month old pointed to me and said, "I see you dalmation".

New Ride

Disclaimer: This was a DADDY DAY. Pay no attention to her hair or outfit!

Meg has a new ride. Chad's sister and brother-in-law got this for him and Meg for Christmas. We have not hardly seen them since Thanksgiving however, so he drove to Frisco on Saturday to pick it up. I don't know if he or Meg loves it more. He couldn't wait to load her up. (He may not appreciate me posting pictures of him in Bike Shorts.....oh well. You can see where Meg gets her skinny legs.)

Don't worry, this was just a trial run in the neighborhood. She has a helmet now to wear in the future. Not that they will EVER ride on city streets, but they will go on the Trinity Trail right behind our house.....by trail I mean paved walkway on the Trinity, for those of you not from FW.
After the ride Meg helped Dad water the flowers. She loves anything that has to do with water.

They are a pretty cute little duo. Partners in crime! Not really...Chad is a great daddy. He know when to have fun and when to keep her in line.
I have to go now. SOMEONE just woke up from her nap and is saying, "Mama.....come here.....right now." I don't know where she learned that! Fortunately she is saying it in a sweet voice, which makes me feel a little better about myself.

Phew!!

It has been a while. I have a good excuse.....a few of them actually. Here it goes:
We moved two weeks ago, left town last weekend, had a toddler with unexplained vomitting and didn't get internet service until today. 12 days after it was scheduled. I have talked to about 13 different people at ATT, got about 13 different "explinations" and no answers. Chad contacted a guy from church who works for Corporate at ATT and, big surprise....they were here the next day.

I have some catching up to do. I am only going to post pictures of Meg's first haircut this time though.

She has needed a trim for a while, but I have been a little anxious about it. On Lori and Annalee's recommendation we went to Sweet and Sassy. She did great!
(This is in the car, on the way to the haircut....I couldn't resist. Don't worry, I was at a stop light.)
I love this first picture. It is not often I can get her to pose, especially when I am ready to take her picture

Thank goodness for suckers

Back-up stickers when the sucker got old.

The "after" pose. I wish you could see the sparkles in her hair.

This is our new neighbor. Actually, we have no idea where he lives, but he wanders into our backyard every once in a while. Meg says, "Hi Chickent" (everything ends in a T right now).

He definately isn't shy. This is on my back patio. He would have walked right under my legs if I hadn't jumped back right here.

I got to be at a great baby shower for my sister in OKC last weekend. I will have to post those pictures another time. We can't wait for Halle Jane to arrive!!
