Mommy Time

I went to Atlanta last weekend for my Arbonne National Training Conference. It was Awesome, by the way. As much as I missed Meg (and Chad)....I kind of felt like I lost 50 lbs. I did not have to carry a diaper bag or keep up with someone else and all of her stuff. The greatest was traveling. The last three times I have flown, have been just me and Meg. I did not miss carrying her while folding up a stoller and trying to get all our stuff through security. Chad did a a great job as a full time Dad. He was so glad to have all of her attention. She is quite a momma's girl right now.
I had such a great time with my sister Mallory and Cousin-in-law Connie

Mal and me before the Grand Awards Ceremony.

After the Grand awards we had a private concert with Tim McGraw. Imagine what 15,000 women do when Tim McGraw comes out on stage.

I was very excited to get home to Meg. She looked older after just 4 days. This is the pretty much where she has been ever since I got home.....at my feet (wanting to be held). I think she thinks I might leave again. I love it!!

This is just a funny picture that shows her only two teeth. They are so cute.

FYI

Hi friends,
Sorry there are not pictures on this post. I know that is why you are here. I just wanted to put in a plug for http://www.youversion.com/. It is a great resource for those who are attached to their computer. You can read from any of like 12 translations of the bible online. You can follow a One Year Bible plan or do your own study. You can also journal and keep notes for your own reference. I used to have the same time everyday to sit down and have quiet time with my devotional bible. Meg doesn't allow me that luxury, but this has become a great resource for me.

On another random note. I am so sad that Steve Guttenburg got cut from DWTS. Not that he was good, but he is the sweetest person alive....such a good sport. Not to mention, that I was(am) a big Police Academy fan. Really, I didn't want anyone to leave. I love them all. We have not been regular viewers of any shows for a couple of years now...but we are hooked on this. Chad loves it! Shhhh.

Easter

Happy Easter!
Meg was so cute in her Easter dress. Unfortunately, it was a little chilly. We lost her hair bow somewhere between church and home, but this one looks cute too.

I love this new smile. She just started scrunching her nose when she smiles. It is especially funny, because it is all gums. She will be nine months on Thursday and she just had breakthrough on her two bottom teeth last week.

I am excited for next year when she will want to hunt for eggs and eat all the sweets that "Bunny" (my mom) gives her. I end up eating it all now. I am pretty sure that is my mom's intention.

Spring Photo Shoot

It was so beautiful outside this weekend, I could not help but get outside and take some pictures. Meg really enjoyed getting crawl around and get dirty. She did not like me fishing in her mouth for the pansies that she tried to eat.

Of course she is laughing with Daddy. Apparently He is the funniest of the two of us.
It's ok...most of the time she is a mommy's girl. He deserves some special time too.

These are just some random pictures I took playing in her room. Doesn't she look so cute sitting like a big girl in her little chair? This was right before she did a nose dive out of it.

And this is just before she did a somersault out of the puffy chair. The girl has no fear.

Cindy Lu Who

Meg's hair is long enough for a tiny little ponytail. It is so cute.

The funniest is when we take it out though. She looks like Cindy Lu Who from the Grinch that Stole Christmas.

I took out her ponytail last night and it still looked like this in the morning.

Her new trick is pulling up to standing. She does it all of the time. It is really fun and cute except when she is supposed to take a nap. We have not really mastered getting back down yet, so she gets really mad until she just falls down, or I come in and lay her back down.

Lots to explore

I am sorry to say that Meg was down and out all last week. She had RSV/Broncitis and and ear infection. She was in suprisingly high spirits most of the time. A great little patient. The breathing treatment was the only really traumatic thing and we got the hang of that after a few days. She is crawling all over and loves to explore. I like this first picture, because she was crawling towards me when I was taking her picture. We spent a lot time in our PJ's while she was sick. The only time we left the house was to go to the doctor.

Her hair looked so funny she woke up this morning. The pictures doesn't even really give it justice.
I found her in this position during her nap the other day. If you can't tell, she has her legs through the slats...under the bumper and she just fell to one side and fell asleep. She did not even wake up to the camera flash. I had to pull her out. The funniest part is that she did not even care. She never cried or anything. I guess she just got stuck and decided to just deal with it.

Catching up

This is a little bit of a long one. It has been a busy couple of weeks.

We have started self-feeding. It is so messy, but Meg loves it. It also keeps her occupied for a lot longer then when I feed her a jar of baby food.

Last weekend we had a great family day! Much needed! These are just some cute pictures of Meg helping Chad check some email.

In the afternoon we headed over to the Fort Worth Stockshow. Meg slept most of the time, but before we left Chad let her suck all of the yogurt off of a yogurt pretzel. She loved it of course, but it was almost impossible to get all of what didn't quite end up in her mouth cleaned off.

I just think this is the cutest thing ever. She looks like such a big girl in her jeans

Just another randomly cute picture.

This past weekend was very full. Thursday night, my parents took all of us to The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. It was my Niece Audrey's 2nd birthday. We played in the water park Thurday and Friday and enjoyed good food and really neat rooms. I highly recommend it for big kids or small ones. I enjoyed the water slides as much as any of the kids.

Sat. we went to a couple's shower at church for our worship minister and his fiance'. It was a lot of fun, but I did not really get any interesting pictures. Chad loves couple's showers, by the way!

Finally, Sat. night we went to our friend Merrick's birthday party.

As you can see....Meg was worn out!
